Max Effort.
Max Progress.
Max Muscle.
Max Muscle
Uses the 3-4 best exercises for each muscle group to maximize the stimulus.
Far too often, we think “more is better”, but what we really need are effective exercises and the right intensity.
Max Muscle uses 4 key roles for each muscle group…
Progression Anchor
Stretch-Stimulus
Shortened/Region-Specific Movement
Stable Volume Driver
Let’s break each one down
Progression Anchor
The Progression Anchor ensures we are making progress throughout the program.
Progressing from 20-lbs dumbbells to 25-lbs dumbbells with Pec Flies is a 25% increase. That’s quite a jump!
Compare that to progressing from a 200 lbs bench press to 205 lbs and that’s only a 2.5% increase. Much each to add weight to as well as ensuring quality mechanical tension, one of the main drivers for muscle growth.
Stretch-Stimulus
The Stretch-Stimulus ensures we are getting the deepest stretch possible to spark muscle growth. There is a plethora of research to show that…
High tension + deep stretch = ideal stimuli for muscle growth.
The Stretch-Stimulus typically uses lighter weights and is easier on the joints to allow them to recovery more effectively while still giving our muscles a better chance to grow.
Shortened/Region-Specific
This exercise targets the muscle in either the squeeze position and/or an often neglected region of the muscle group.
This is important for overall development, as different exercises can target different parts of the muscle, adding to its overall development.
Volume Driver
And last but not least, our Volume Driver allows us to pack on some volume with…
Lower joint stress
Lower fatigue
More stability
Than the other exercises, ensuring we get an adequate amount of stimulus to maximize hypertrophy.
